Skadovsk

Today is Tuesday of week two and we are in the tiny resort town of Skadovsk which I would best describe as a scaled down version of Myrtle Beach. This part of the Black Sea is very shallow and protected by a small bay so it seems to attract very young families. We feel pretty safe here but still out of place. Our only internet connection is in the restaurant/bar/lounge of the hotel where we are staying. The music is a Russian disco/rap and playing just a little too loud for us...

Waiting for 2:00pm so we can skype Geo and Ash before they head off to school. Only time we can talk to George since he gets home at 6:00pm from football, that's 1:00 am our time.

We walked down to the beach this morning and picked up some sandles for all the kids in Stas's care group. Going to spend the rest of the day with them and just hang.

Tomorrow is a national holiday in Ukraine celebrating the 20th anniversary of its independence from former Soviet. The camp has asked us to come around 5pm to help celebrate with them. Unfortunately, that will also delay our paperwork as all government offices will be closed. Hopefully Tonya is making good progress today and won't be effected by it.

We'll take some more pictures today and send them on... having a great day
