Another great day w/ "our" boys

We had another fabulous day with the kids.  We are getting more and more attached...I already dread the goodbyes...in my head, I have a home and a child for each one of you!!

Sadly, we have no pictures because we somehow lost the camera.  So, all day we had to try to to not say 1000 times-"this would be a great photo"-and attempt to capture the moments in our heads.  The kids really missed it also-because they love taking pictures of each other.

We shopped the open market today near the sea and purchased dozens of flip flops for the kids.  They seem to really like the "thong" type-so we searched everywhere for them.  Luckily, everything is cheap here so we spent all we had!!

We arrived on rest time again-we were able to grab Stas and his roomie (and our hope to be son, someday!!!) Kola.  We headed to the sea.  Once again, I noticed how simple it was-pretty sure they had slept in their little suits from the night before, shirtless and nothing else than the new shoes we had bought them, we headed to the sea. I note "simple" because, there were no towels, (and it was chilly at the beach) no coolers, no drinks, no snacks...only coca colas that I surprised them w/ after several hours.  We all held hands and walked the "walk of death' to the sea.  Picturesque moment, yet we had no flipping camera, ugh!!!

They run into the water, urging us along and begin their "hunt." They catch (very Indian- like) the smallest of minnows w/ their hands!!  They wait, perch and then dive into the very shallow sea...sometimes catching a handful of sea weed, but sometimes catching s minuscule minnow!!  They fascinate us!!  Then, they locate a tarp and an empty beer bottle and then "fishing" really begins!! They crouch (forever) and wait for their prey!!  Again, several times, they struggle with the weight of the water and seaweed to reveal nothing-but sometimes it is a success and they wave papa over to capture and thus bottle their pets....to later be awed by all (one is even a very tiny shrimp!)

No one is bored...no one ever complains..Finally, 1 of the campers comes looking for us and we head back to the other kids.  We simply hang w them  the rest of the time.  We brought our computer, hoping to skype our american (!) kids to say hello to all-but we have no service (duh!)  We are able to bring up bunches of pictures we have taken, and they all enjoy.  We also put on a little "Bruce"  on for them, and at 1 time, I see all the kids singing/humming along with the tunes.  Again, would have been a great picture...I had my journal in my purse, so I get it out and give the kids a pen...they all fight to draw pictures and write "i love mama and nany (papa)" on the pages...we try to breathe in the moments and somewhere our hearts break...we hug and kiss them all goodbye and promise to come tomorrow.

Good news-Tonya has lined up the "good" judge.  I guess that means when we finally go to court-we should have no problems. Bad news, she is predicting next Weds.  Our flights were scheduled for this Fri.  Just means more $ and a longer time away from Kay, Ash and Geo...They have all been so great-we just miss them, and we miss our new kids, already...

Loving Technology right now...we are talking to Ash about the EARTHQUAKE in Va...and going thru our mail (Bills!!).  That can wait :)

Please pray that we would miraculously find our camera tomorrow.  Love to you all ,  darcy   xoxo
