picture of "Camp by the Sea"

Ok... here you go...

Stas officially consents to becoming a Funk and coming to America

The next American from this orphanage... Vova. He said without hesitation - YES!!! - Congrats Judy and Jake

Vova has definately grown a little more than Stas - both very happy

This is looking out past the soccer field onto the Sea. Very flat and desolate but also very pretty...

Plenty of critters in Ukraine that little boys like to catch and let them crawl on them

intense game of "war" I had him down to one card and he came back and beat me.

We fell in love with this boy... not sur how it's spelled but pronounced Cola. Sweet, sweet boy. Wouldn't leave our side

hard to see but the boys formed an american football in the sand for us

Cola again - kept taking out camera and took pictures of the other kids as well as himself. They carved out the olympic rings and put shells on the tops.

Ok... this is kind of cool - every day, the black see would wash up some sea weed and someone would rake it off the beach and pile it up on the sides. The boys would use this as a make shift trampoline and run and do flips off of it and land on the soft seaweed. Ingenuity...

Sasha trying to do a flip

This was one of the older boys that was teaching the younger ones the finer points of seaweed flipping.

Stas about to do a flip

Sasha - nothing but awesome adatude
Awesome day and had a great time with these kids. Can't wait until we see them tomorrow... thanks for the prayers- we do feel them.

  3. My name is Modupe (Mo); friends of Susan and Ian; my prayers are with you all through this process.
My heart bleeds for these boys, I want to run to ukraine and just pick as many as I can fit into my purse up ... such a dream right now.
I pray for God's peace with decision making and pray that the "grandma" will let Stas fly out with you guys but will have no hard feelings since she has Stas' sister .
Peace to you all and God's bountiful blessings and provision as your family increases.
